Niagara Falls hit and run crash leaves male with life-threatening injuries

Niagara police say a 17-year-old male is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a hit and run crash in Niagara Falls.

On Tuesday at around 10:55 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of Lundy’s Lane and Royal Manor Drive.

Investigators say the crash involved a blue Pontiac Torrent SUV and an electric scooter that was operated by a 17-year-old male.

Detectives say the driver of the Pontiac Torrent SUV failed to stop after the crash, leaving the victim severely injured on the roadway.

The victim was transported to an out-of-region hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police say the Pontiac Torrent SUV involved in the collision was identified and was located with assistance from the Hamilton police.

Officers say the driver of the motor vehicle was placed under arrest for impaired operation of a conveyance.
