The Ontario Liberals have edged slightly ahead of the Progressive Conservatives, according to a new poll.

The Ipsos Reid poll shows the Liberal with 38 per cent support.

That’s one percentage point ahead of the Progressive Conservatives.

The poll also shows that support for the NDP is growing at 24 per cent, while the Green Party sits at about one per cent.

As the second week of campaigning continues, the party leaders will be spread out across the province today.

Liberal leader Dalton McGuinty will tour an energy company in Toronto, before heading to his nomination meeting in Ottawa this evening.

Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak will be in London this morning. He will then head to a factory in Chatham, and end his day of campaigning at the Lions Community Hall in Kingsville.

The NDP’s Andrea Horwath will start her day with an announcement at a union training centre in Oldcastle. She will then campaign with candidates in Chatham before attending a barbeque in Essex.
