New name for Scotiabank Place

The home of the Ottawa Senators has a new name.

Scotiabank Place has been renamed the Canadian Tire Centre, with a long-term agreement taking effect July 1st.

The name was announced at a morning news conference. Signage at the 19,153 seat arena will be in place for the start of the 2013-14 National Hockey League season.
