More electric vehicle charging stations coming

‘Range Anxiety’ , a condition limited to only those who drive electric cars. It’s a constant fear that your vehicle will reach its range limit and you’ll be stranded on the highway or on some back road. Today, the Liberals announced what they think will relieve some of that anxiety with their plan to spend $20 million to build 500 new electric vehicle charging stations across the province.
Currently, there are only nine charging stations in all of Hamilton, 13 in Burlington, 11 in Oakville and about 6 in St. Catharines. Each city should receive at least one new station, Hamilton is expected to see 3 pop up by next March. There are currently 7 000 electric cars on Ontario roads, but with more stations to charge up and rebates of up to $13 000 when you buy a green car, Steven Del Duca hopes to see that number grow a lot.
