Nero girlfriend sentenced for role in coke ring

The girlfriend of drug kingpin Nick Nero will spend 2 years behind bars for her role in a massive cocaine trafficking ring.

Tawnya Fletcher was arrested with Nero after $30 million dollars worth of cocaine was uncovered in a St Catharines warehouse. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to traffic in cocaine.

Fletcher went to the exclusive Ridley College in St Catharines and was medical-school bound before she took up with Nero. Nero headed a drug trafficking ring that imported a ton of cocaine a month into Canada.

Nero is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
