NDP leader Andrea Horwath drops new evidence claiming the PC government plans to privatize health care

The NDP’s have released a new, more detailed document leaked to them from an employee within Queen’s Park. In it, is the the health system efficiency act that outlines several healthcare services the Ford government is reportedly planning on handing to the private sector.
It sparked a war of words between parties and the termination of the informant’s employment.
The documents dates back to December 13th, 2018 and outlines how cabinet has already approved the privatizations of long-term care inspections, Ornge ambulance, medical devices, laboratories and licencing. Horwath wouldn’t comment on how her party received the papers.
After Horwath’s newser, the Ford government announced the public service employee responsible for the leak had been fired. In response to the employee’s termination, the president of the union representing public workers says that the firing is another example of the Ford government’s crisis.
Health minister Christine Elliot said she’d never seen the document and said Horwath was simply fear mongering,
“We are not considering as the list of things that Andrea Horwath suggested today that we are going to be privatizing. We will not be privatizing those issues.”
According to Elliot, those issues were simply options for the PC’s to consider as they consult changes to the healthcare system.
