Natives split over meeting with PM

Some progress was made, and some damage was done to the unity of First Nations as Idle No More protesters filled the streets of Ottawa today.

As Assembly of First Nations chief Shawn Atleo led about 20 First Nations leaders into a meeting with prime minister Stephen Harper, other native leaders blocked one entrance to Parliament and demanded the meeting be called off. Scot Urquhart is on James Street North in Hamilton, where another Idle No More event is planned for this evening.
