Multiple people shot near Clifton Hill

Niagara Regional Police say that they found “multiple victims” suffering from gunshot wounds in the area of Centre St. and Ellen Ave. shortly before 12:00 a.m.

Police do not say how many people were involved or what the extent of the injuries were.

However, reports from the scene were that a 26-year-old male shot in the upper chest. He was airlifted to the Hamilton Trauma Center by Air Ornge.

Another man in his 20’s was shot in his leg.

Reports say that a third, and possibly fourth person were also shot.

Niagara Police confirm that all victims were transferred to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say this was a “targeted incident.”
