The widow of a motorcyclist who died in a crash on Queenston Road at the Red Hill Valley Parkway spoke to CHCH News today. Gordon Bourgeois’s grieving wife, Rhonda Rogers, says riding was one of his passions. “He was such a protector. He was so strong, he was so strong that I didn’t think this could happen to him.”
39-year old Gordon Bourgeois died Thursday night after his Harley collided with a Ford Mustang.
The driver of the Mustang wasn’t hurt. Police say no charges have been laid at this time and alcohol was not a factor.
He loved his hometown of Hamilton, the Ticats, and his animals. He leaves behind 2 children, who are 10 and 14 years old.
To support his family, friends have planned a fundraiser for next month at the Veterans Service League on Main Street East. It will be held on Friday December 4th at 7pm. Tickets are $10.
