Motorcycle crash on Hamilton’s Linc seriously injures one person

A portion of the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway has reopened several hours after a motorcycle and vehicle collided, leaving a man in hospital with life-altering injuries.

Hamilton police say a motorcycle crashed with the rear of a Hyundai SUV, causing the rider to be ejected shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Linc between Dartnall Rd. and Upper Gage Ave.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital in critical condition. Police say the man in his 60s remains there Wednesday in stable condition with life-altering injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The westbound lanes of the Linc were closed for nearly seven hours as police investigated.

Anyone with dash cam footage of the crash between 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. or who has additional information regarding this investigation is asked to contact police at 905-456-4753.

Early reports indicate that two people were taken to hospital, one in critical and life-threatening condition and the other with minor injuries (Adam Atkinson/CHCH News).
