Most mask mandates lifting in province tomorrow, including on most public transit

Most mask mandates in the province will be lifted tomorrow (June 11).

Hospitals and long-term care residences are continuing to implement masks. Masking is also recommended in higher-risk congregate living settings, such as shelters and group homes.

Some transit systems are not requiring masks anymore. The HSR says masks will not be required on conventional city buses, but any staff or commuters are free to do so.

Metrolinx says masks don’t need to be worn anymore on GO Transit and the Union Pearson Express Train.

However, masks will still be required to be worn on DARTS buses until further notice.
