Morning crash in Brantford closes Hwy. 403 eastbound

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m on Highway 403 in Brantford.

There is a complete closure of the eastbound lanes so you cannot get on the highway at Garden Ave.

OPP said two people have been taken to hospital, one them with life-threatening injuries.

Details are limited right now but two vehicles were involved in this crash.

A grey sedan remains in a ditch – a silver car remains on the road with parts of it sitting beside it.

Debris is also scattered on the highway but both cars have sustained significant damage.

It’s unclear at this time what caused the crash.

It is also unclear how many people were in the cars or the extent of injuries but police say they are being assessed Wednesday.
