Further shipments of COVID-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in Canada this week.  2.2 million more shots will be coming to our country adding to the nearly eight-million doses we’ve received already. The new shipments will come from the COVAX facility, a global vaccine-sharing initiative that Canada contributed 440-million dollars to.  The program offers doses to poorer countries that can’t afford to purchase their own.  In return, each donor country secures a certain number of vaccine doses. But, these aren’t the only new doses arriving this week. Just in time to help contain the wildfire spread of more contagious variants, Pfizer is scheduled to ship one-million doses and Moderna is sending 855-thousand shots.
