Mississauga man dies in Hospital

The 33 year-old male, struck by a car late Friday night in Mississauga’s north-end has died in hospital.

Police responded to the intersection of Derry Rd. And Hurontario St. At around 11p.m. May 16th after reports of a pedestrian being struck near the intersection.

Officials announced the man had died after the man was being treated for life threatening injuries to his head.

The man driving the car is 26 year-old from Mississauga, who stayed and waited at the scene, after hitting the pedestrian.

The intersection has re-opened.

The Major Collision Bureau was called to investigate the intersection.
