Missing 78-year-old woman found dead: Hamilton police

Hamilton police say the body of a 78-year-old woman who went missing last week has been found.

Denise Gloster was last seen Sunday evening in the area of Mineral Springs Rd. and Slote Rd.

Kyra, the daughter of Gloster, said her mother got up during the night and walked away from her home.

Police said that Gloster had early onset dementia and was known to be an avid walker.

Gloster has gone missing before and travelled nearly 20 km before she was found.

On Monday and Tuesday, the family, emergency crews and members of the community came together and worked throughout the overnight hours to try and locate the missing woman.

Police said the family has requested privacy to mourn their loss.
