Minnesota National Guard soldiers block George Floyd protesters

Update: Derek Chauvin, one of four former officers fired for kneeling on George Floyd’s neck, has been charged with murder and manslaughter.
Protesters in Minneapolis are seeking justice for George Floyd who was killed Monday after a police officer knelt on his neck. Videos show an officer kneeling on the back of Floyd’s neck as the handcuffed black man pleads for air.
Hundreds of Minnesota National Guard soldiers are in Minneapolis to assist the fire department after several buildings were lit on fire overnight including a police station.
The police station lit on fire is where the officers involved in the George Floyd arrest are stationed.
