Milton Velodrome opening put on hold

The opening event at the Milton Velodrome has been postponed until the new year.

The public ceremony for the Mattamy National Cycling Centre was originally slated for November 29th. It will now be held on Family Day, February 16th.

Cycling programs that were scheduled to start in December have been pushed back to January.

Although the cycling track itself is complete, other areas of the facility are currently in progress. Once it’s fully complete, the facility will house cycling events for the 2015 Pan Am games, sport courts and a fitness club that will be open for community use.
