They couldn’t ship the Sistine Chapel — or the 17-foot tall marble Statue of David. But 30 rare drawings by Michelangelo have been loaned to the Art Gallery of Ontario.

The exhibit opens to the general public this weekend.

Michelangelo’s drawings are a window into the private studio of the Renaissance master.
