Metrolinx offers veterans, CAF members free rides on Remembrance Day

Metrolinx is offering free rides on Remembrance Day for veterans and Canadian Armed Forces members, as well as family members of deceased veterans.
The public transport agency says the free service is only available on Nov. 11 across the GO and UP Express transit network.
It’s being offered in honour of the sacrifices made by members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) for their service to our country.

Veterans, members and family are asked to wear or carry something identifiable, such as a medal, beret, blazer, uniform or Veteran’s Service Card.
Metrolinx says it has a longstanding tradition of offering free service on Remembrance Day to veterans and CAF members, and are committed to continuing this practice as a token of their respect and appreciation.
