Members of Halton Police accept award

Two members of the Halton Regional Police Service have been given a prestigious award.

Constable Andrew Olesen (left), and Detective Dave Banks (right), were given the “Excellence in Police Aviation” award.

The two received the honour at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in Philadelphia this week. They were awarded for their efforts in research, formation and operation of drones for the police service.

Halton has been using drones since 2009.
