McNaughton makes stop in Hamilton

PC MPP Monte McNaughton has launched a tour to connect with what he calls “the average people of Ontario.”
McNaughton is considering running for the leadership of the party. Through this tour he hopes to connect with young families, college and university students and blue collar workers.
His “Main Street Not Bay Street” tour brought him to Hamilton this morning.
“We’re going to be hitting ridings that traditionally the PCs haven’t held for a long time. I think we need to send a message that we’re willing to listen, we’re willing to re-build Hamilton and urban areas like Hamilton.”
“I want to hit all 107 ridings by October the 20th, when the legislature resumes at Queen’s Park. Thankfully I’m very blessed that my wife and my daughter are going to be traveling with me across the province to meet average ordinary people in the province so that we can connect with them, engage them in politics and hopefully have them join the PC party.”
McNaughton says the tour will be interactive. He’ll be posting his cell phone number on his website, so people can call and talk to him about any issues.
