McKenzie Meadows development cancelled amid land dispute

A planned subdivision in Caledonia is not going ahead amid an ongoing land dispute.

McKenzie Meadows has been occupied by the group 1492 Land Back Lane for almost a year.

Despite a number of court injunctions, the group has stayed on the site. They say the land is unceded Haudenosaunee territory.

In a letter to potential homeowners, obtained by the Hamilton Spectator, the developer says the homes will no longer be constructed and the sales will be terminated.
