McGuinty cabinet to be sworn in Oct 20th

Premier-elect Dalton McGuinty says the new Ontario cabinet will be sworn in next Thursday.

He made the announcement while speaking at a communications technology company in Markham today.

The premier also said he has asked finance minister Dwight Duncan to provide an update on how the global economy is impacting Ontario.

McGuinty says he plans to deliver a strong, steady, stable government to the people of Ontario, despite being handed a minority madate in last week’s provincial election.

“The best way to do that of course, is to find opportunities to work with the opposition parties, and we will find occasions for them to become involved in a more explicit way and lending shape to our agenda.”
