Municipal leaders in the Greater Toronto Hamilton area have given the province until March 1st to respond to a request for help to clean up the estimated 250-million dollars in damages caused by last months ice storm.
Friday’s meeting was hosted by Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion who called the outcome historic. All GTHA Mayors and regional leaders unanimously agreed to approach the province and the feds for funding together instead of each city asking for help individually.
