Nine months after he was fired by the Raptors, Masai Ujiri has joined the ownership group of the WNBA’s Toronto Tempo.

Ujiri spent 12 years with the Raptors. He now rejoins owner Larry Tanenbaum, with whom he won Toronto’s only NBA title in 2019.

The Tempo is one of two expansion teams in the WNBA this season.
