March Break travellers arrive home

Thousands of families arrived back from their March Break getaways Sunday at Pearson International Airport.

Most of the travellers we spoke with said they had fun, but were having some trouble coming back to the cold.

“It was fantastic to get away. It was nice to actually see sunshine,” said one woman.

But her young was still getting used to getting back.

“Winter’s not ever going to go away,” he said.

On the Thursday and Friday going into March Break, over 200,000 passengers are estimated to have passed through Pearson’s gates. 95,000 passengers go through the airport on a typical day.
