Man, woman wanted for Hamilton observatory break-in, vandalism

Two people are wanted after a break-in at the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada’s observatory in Hamilton caused at least $40,000 in damage to its equipment.
Security video shows a man and woman smashing a truck into the Millgrove observatory on July 3.
While a cost of damage has not yet been confirmed, president Andy Blanchard says they expect there will be thousands of dollars in damage.
Blanchard says no items were stolen during the incident.

Hamilton police say a 26-year-old man and 30-year-old woman are wanted for break-and-enter charges, as well as mischief over $5,000.
Both suspects are also facing multiple counts of failure to comply with probation.
The society has created a GoFundMe, which has raised more than $4,000 as of Thursday afternoon.
