Niagara police are searching for a man following a shooting incident in Niagara Falls.

On July 9, at around 8:32 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Lundy’s Lane and Garner Road near the Sundowner strip club.

Police say officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. It was later determined the woman was struck with a ball-bearing (BB) that was believed to be discharged from a black pistol style pellet gun.

The woman was transported to an out-of-town trauma centre by Ornge Air Ambulance. She has since been released from hospital and is continuing to recover at home.

Police are asking for help in locating the suspected shooter. He is described as a white man, 18 to 25-years-old, around 6’0” tall, black hair, wearing a white collared dress shirt, black pants and black shoes. He is believed to have numerous tattoos on his left arm between the elbow and wrist.

He fled the scene Eastbound on Lundy’s Lane riding a black bicycle. Police note that the rear tire of the bicycle is distinctly different then the front tire, which appears to have a white walled rim.

Police say the man is believed to be armed and dangerous.
