Man stabbed in face

A man is in hospital in Hamilton this morning with serious stab wounds to his face.

Police were called to Wentworth Street South near Stinson about 3:30 this morning. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene and took him to hospital.

His attacker was gone when police arrived.

Investigators are trying to determine the circumstances and the motive.
