Man sought by OPP for escaping police custody in Simcoe

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is searching for a 36-year-old man wanted on several charges including escaping police custody.

Police say Nicholas Sawadski, of Norfolk County, is wanted in connection with an incident that happened at a Peel St. address.

Investigators did not provide details about the crime but said Sawadski is facing several charges including escape lawful custody, theft of motor vehicle, mischief under $5,000, dangerous operation, flight from peace officer, fail to comply with probation order and two counts of fail to comply with release order.

He is described as white, five-foot-nine, 155 lbs, with a thin build, brown hair, and brown eyes.

Sawadski may be in the Brantford or London area.
