Man shot, killed in Toronto’s west end

A man believed to be in his 40s was shot and killed in Toronto’s west end last night.

The incident happened on Symington Avenue near Davenport Road and Lansdowne Avenue at around 6:00 p.m. Paramedics say the victim was shot multiple times in his home, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people were in the home at the time both escaped without injuries.

The K-9 unit was called in to help investigate, but police say the dogs weren’t able to pick up a scent.

There is no word yet on a suspect.
