Updated Highway 6 has re-opened to traffic after a fatal crash closed a stretch of the road for much of the afternoon.
OPP say a man driving an GMC Yukon lost control and drove into the rear of a tandem dump truck. He was going south on six between York Road and the 403 at the time.
The SUV flipped and landed on its roof, killing the driver.
Police still haven’t determined why the driver slammed into the truck. The southbound lanes were closed for several hours, and traffic heading north has been extremely slow.
The SUV driver’s name has not been released.
