Man in distress struck by transport truck on Burlington QEW

A 28-year-old man was struck by a transport truck on the QEW in Burlington Tuesday night, causing a closure of all Toronto-bound lanes.
The Burlington OPP say the pedestrian was in distress before being hit and remains in hospital with serious injuries.
The lanes between exit 93 Eastport Dr. and exit 97 North Shore Blvd. were closed around 10:30 p.m. while police investigated, causing Toronto-bound delays on the QEW approaching the Burlington Skyway.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said in a video on Twitter that the transport truck driver involved did stop and is cooperating fully with the investigators.
