Man faces murder charges in the stabbing death of his parents: Hamilton police

Hamilton police say a 34-year-old man is facing two second-degree murder charges in the death of his parents.
This is in connection with the triple stabbing at a downtown Hamilton building on Monday afternoon.

Police were called to 20 George St. around 12:30 p.m., after receiving 911 calls from tenants of the building that a man was stabbing a woman in the 13th floor hallway.
Officers found a 34-year-old man and 61-year-old woman lying in the hallway. Both had stab wounds.
They also found another man, a 67-year-old, with stab wounds inside a nearby apartment.
According to police, witnesses identified the younger man as the person responsible for the stabbing.
The three were taken to hospital.

Police say the woman was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the 67-year-old man died in the operating room.
The 34-year-old man survived surgery and is listed in serious but stable condition in hospital. Police say he will be charged with two counts of second-degree murder when he regains consciousness.
He is the son of the victims.
Police say this was a family dispute and are not looking for anyone else. A weapon has been recovered.
They say they will execute a search warrant in the apartment where the father was located.
