Man charged with stunt driving on Linc

On June 10 just after 1:00am, a Hamilton police officer was in the area of the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway and the Upper James Street overpass conducting traffic related enforcement.
The officer was operating a fully marked police vehicle at the time.
The officer saw a vehicle travelling Eastbound on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway and accelerating. The officer was told that the vehicle’s speed was reaching 180km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
The officer managed to stop the vehicle and a 22 year old man from Hamilton, was charged with stunt driving. His licence was seized and his vehicle towed from the scene and impounded for 7 days.
