Man charged in Port Colborne break and enter

A 36-year-old man has been arrested following a break in at an apartment building in Port Colborne.

Officers responded to reports of “property damage in-progress” at a building on Victoria St. on Monday.

Police were told a laundry room door had been wedged closed and witnesses reported hearing noises coming from inside.

Investigators determined someone had broken into the laundry room of the building.

Mark Pero, of Port Colborne, was arrested and charged with break and enter, possession of break-in instruments, and breach of probation.
