Man arrested for impaired boating

Oakville Fire crews rescued a boater, and then promptly arrested him after he crashed his boat into an Oakville beach.

Fire crews were called to Lakeshore at Coronation Park just after ten last night when they heard reports of a boat that crashed into the shore.

They rescued the 65-year-old man from the boat. He appeared to have fallen asleep after drinking. He was then arrested and charged with impaired operation.
