Man arrested for break & enter, assault

A Hamilton man has been charged after allegedly forcing his way into two apartments, threatening the tenants and assaulting police when they arrived.

30 year old Robert Williams showed up at a multi-dwelling home on Cannon Street East near Barnesdale Avenue South on Sunday Night.

When he was told the person he was looking for no longer lived there, he allegedly threatened to kill the tenants and to cause damage to the building.

Police say he later assaulted several officers when they tried to arrest him, before finally being taken away.
