Man arrested after animal remains found along St. Catharines’ Welland Ave

Niagara police have arrested a man after animal remains were left in public spaces along St. Catharines’ Welland Avenue.

Investigators say they reviewed surveillance footage which showed a man taking animal remains out of a bag, placing them in public areas and fleeing on foot.

On Wednesday, officers arrested 45-year-old Christopher Parrent.

Police have charged the accused man with three counts of publicly exhibiting a disgusting object and two counts of indecent exhibition.

Detectives have determined the animal remains to belong to wild animals.
