Man, 59, dies after truck falls through road in Middlesex County

A driver from Mississauga has died after his truck fell through the road in Middlesex County Wednesday night.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to calls of a serious vehicle crash on Dundonald Rd. shortly after 10 p.m.
Officers say the crash occurred when the roadway under the transport truck collapsed as the vehicle travelled on Dundonald Rd.

Investigators say water levels were very high since significant storms with heavy rainfall were passing through the area. The driver, a 59-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPP’s traffic incident team was at the scene to help with the investigation.
Officers say Dundonald Rd. is currently closed and is expected to remain closed for the next week or two for repairs.
