A 19-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Hamilton’s east end early Tuesday morning.

Hamilton police say the collision happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Burlington St. East at Parkdale Ave. North.

Officers say the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle when it struck a concrete pillar under an overpass. Investigators say the incident is being treated as a sudden death.

Sections of Burlington St. East and Parkdale Ave. North were closed, but have since reopened.

Anyone who may have been in the area between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. and has video or photos of the incident is asked to contact police at 905-546-4925.
