Mac moves downtown
Thousands of students and hundreds of staff will be moving from the current McMaster campus on Main Street in downtown Hamilton. But they won’t be going far. The city is taking over the building on Main once again because it’s needed for provincial courtrooms and offices.
And the four thousand students will now be taking classes inside the glass pavilion above Jackson Square at One James Street North. That’s right at the corner of King Street. Services moving to the new building will include the centre for continuing education and university advancement. McMaster says the move will happen in stages to limit disruption to students and staff.
