Live mouse found inside a bag of bread

A Hamilton woman got more than she bargained for when she bought a loaf of bread on sale at a No Frills grocery store.
As Michelle Hill was checking out, she saw a live mouse scurrying around the bag of bread she had just put in her cart.
“I wanted to throw up…I was grossed out.”
Michelle posted her experience on Facebook Tuesday night and the post went viral.
Michelle says she’s shopped at the No Frills at 435 Main st. E for ten years and considers herself a loyal customer, which is why she’s hurt that the manager or owner of the store hasn’t reached out to her yet.
Weston Foods, the bread maker, says it will send her a $50 gift card and No Frills’ head office Loblaws apologized. But Michelle says the No Frills store owner’s lack of response and the live rodent in her groceries have made her shop somewhere else.
Loblaws head office issue a statement saying that the store has taken steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again, including working with their pest control team and inspecting bakery items daily.
