Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway to close for maintenance next Thursday

The City of Hamilton says the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (LINC) will be closed over a stretch of five days this month.

Maintenance will be completed in both directions of the parkway beginning on May 26 at 11 p.m. until May 30 at 4 a.m.

While the dates for the work are weather permitting, at this time the eastbound closure will occur form 11 p.m. on May 26 until May 30 at 4 a.m. The westbound closure will happen on May 27 at 10 a.m. until May 30 at 4 a.m.

The eastbound closure will be in effect from Golf Links Rd. to the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway off-ramp leaving the eastbound LINC.

The westbound closure will be in effect from the Red Hill Valley Parkway to Mohawk Rd. While working in the westbound direction, access to the Highway 403 on-ramps and the Rousseaux St. off-ramp will be maintained from the on-ramps at Golf Links and Mohawk roads.

The maintenance work will include spot resurfacing and asphalt repairs, bridge and signage repairs and pavement markings.

The city said drivers should expect traffic, allow extra time and use alternate routes where possible.
