LINC reopens after multi-vehicle crash, 5 in hospital including child

The Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway is now open after a multi-vehicle crash Thursday evening that sent five people to hospital, including one child.
The parkway was closed for nearly 11 hours in the eastbound direction from Highway 403 to Mohawk Rd. as emergency crews cleared the scene following the 6:15 p.m. collision.
Police said a 50-year-old Hamilton man suffered serious injuries, but is in stable condition. The other people involved were transported to hospital, but later released, reporting minor injuries.
A video of the crash posted to Twitter shows six vehicles involved, including a tractor trailer.

Hamilton police said the Collision Reconstruction Unit is now investigating.
Officers said the parkway reopened around 5:20 a.m. Friday.
