LifeLabs class action lawsuit submissions deadline this Saturday

The deadline to file a claim for the lifeLabs class-action settlement is coming up.
Last fall, a Canada-wide settlement deal was approved in an Ontario court after the personal information of 8.6 million LifeLabs customers was exposed during a data breach.
More than 131-thousand personalized test results were included in the breach.

Anyone who was living in Canada and was a customer of LifeLabs on or before Dec. 17, 2019 is eligible to make a claim.
The deadline to file a claim is April 6, 2024, and it can be done here.
You’ll need to fill out a form that includes your name, address, telephone number, email and provincial health care number.
“Each Settlement Class Member who completes a valid claim form, on time, will be eligible to receive estimated compensation of $50, up to a maximum of $150,” the company said in a news release in March.
“The precise amount to be paid per person will be determined based on the total number of claims filed,” and will also be offset by deductions made for court-approved legal fees, disbursements and taxes.
