Leash on in Gage Park

Don’t allow the dogs to run free in parts of Hamilton’s Gage Park.

The city’s Public Works Committee has taken the advice of staff and voted against a leash-free area.

The committee had considered a neighbourhood petition with over a thousand signatures calling for a portion of the east-end park to be fenced off.

Councillor Bernie Morelli wants to see more leash-free parks just not in Gage Park, saying it’s just not the right space.
