Lawsuit over chlorine leak

A $10-million dollar class action was issued Thursday against the City of St. Catharines and Aquatech Logistics Inc.

The lawsuit alleges that on July 12th, Aquatech Logistic Inc. poured roughly 90 litres of chlorine into a tank containing roughly 900 litres of muriatic acid, while supplying chlorine to the pool.

It caused a large cloud of chlorine gas which engulfed class members at or around the pool property.
