Last Minute Christmas Shopping

Many people are out doing some last minute shopping today, with just one week until Christmas Eve.

With christmas just a week away, Eastgate Square was packed with those looking for that perfect gift.

According to Price Waterhouse Cooper, eight out of ten consumers plan to spend the same as last year, or more this holiday season.

Marvin Ryder from the Degroote School of Business says it breaks a seven year trend with people usually reporting they’ll spend less during the holidays.

Results of this year’s holiday spending won’t come out until January.
