Kung Fu Panda 3 is the latest instalment in the animated martial arts comedy series. The film is co-directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni, who both worked on the series’ previous films, and features the voices of Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, David Cross, James Hong, Kate Hudson, and J. K. Simmons.

When Po’s long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible—learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

“Po’s humility and enthusiasm have a nerd vibe, and I think that’s inspiring and aspirational for many people,” explains Yuh Nelson. “The fact that he discovers what makes him special and uses that to become the best he can be, is also something we can all identify with. Everybody wants to learn what makes them unique and to use that information to become a better person. I think that’s great for kids and adults to hear – and it’s important for us, the filmmakers, because we certainly don’t fit into any kind of mold!”
